As a martial artist now for 30 years I’ve dedicated most of my life to always having the attitude of improving and optimizing my health. I’ve know Chaz now for almost 15 years and about a year ago went to him seeking his advice as I know he’s an expert in the field of strength, muscle building, and overall optimizing the athlete inside me at age 48. I’ve always been good and consistent at my gym workouts however Chaz has helped me become great at it. Through timing of proteins, planning the order of exercises in my workouts, and even how to properly lift timing my movements to maximize my results. Chaz is an inspiration, a wealth of knowledge and a great friend.
Sherylea was my trainer for 3 years and always pushed me hard to achieve the gains and body recompostion that I was striving for. Her motivational, honest, intense training style encouraged me to work hard in and out of the gym. She persuaded me to incorporate compound exercises combined with heavy weights to increase my strength and power and that’s when I saw real changes happen in my body. Sherylea trains hard, is a nutritional expert and her personal fitness is truly inspirational. Although she has moved to Kirkland, she still trains me virtually in Victoria. I highly recommend her as both a nutritional and fitness expert.
Chaz introduced me to yoga, by asking me to participate in a 30-day challenge with him. He took me under his wing as a complete yoga novice, and walked patiently with me as I stumbled through my early classes, encouraging me every step of the way. My love of yoga grew so much, that the 30-day challenge turned into 80 days of daily yoga!
I’m so grateful for the way Chaz knew how to challenge me to push myself, without overwhelming me. He often talked about bite-size knowledge nuggets that he wanted to share with me. He taught me the mind, body, and soul behind yoga. Looking back over my time learning the practice with him, I see so clearly how each asana and exercise he challenged me to master was leading to a full and strong understanding of my practice. The beautiful thing about working with Chaz is that your personal growth never ends- it just evolves. Chaz is a pillar I look to for motivation to keep me growing.
Charles and Sherylea are legit! Compassionate about life and fully present during each one of my interactions with them. They have an impressive understanding of “food,” and they detail how what we consume impacts our lives. After all, we are what we eat. Both are a living testament to good health and balanced lifestyles. And just all-around exceptional human beings. I’m a better man just knowing them.
